TEST STRIP

Definition: trial and error method of calculating exposure in photographic printing. A number of exposures are given to a strip of emulsion, over important areas of the image to help judge the correct exposure in the final print.

Definition: A strip of printing paper that is given a series of incremental exposure times ( such as 3, 6, 9, 12 seconds ) in order to determine the ideal base exposure time.
