BOUNCE LIGHT

Definition: light that is directed away from the subject toward a reflective surface.

Definition: Light that does not travel directly from its source (bounce flash) to the subject but is first reflected off another surface. This technique softens the light by directing it at a ceiling, wall, board, or similar surface before it reaches the subject.
