BLOCKED UP

Definition: a portion of an overexposed and/or overdeveloped negative so dense with silver halides that texture and detail in the subject are unclear.

Definition: Describes highlight areas that lack normal texture and detail. Due to excess contrast caused by, for example, overexposure or over development.
